According to the holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for three to four consecutive days in many states in October, which also includes second Saturday and Sunday. Banks will remain closed for 4 days in these states

Banks in the states of Tripura, Assam, Bengal will remain closed on October 10, 11, 12 and 13. Banks in Sikkim will remain closed on October 11, 12, 13, 14.

These states will have holidays

  • Durga Puja/Dussehra (Maha Saptami): October 10 – Banks closed in Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, Bengal.
  • Dussehra (Mahastami/Mahanavami)/Ayudha Puja/Durga Puja (Dasin)/Durga Ashtami: October 11 – Banks are closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya.
  • Dussehra/Dussehra (Mahanavami/Vijayadashami)/Durga Puja (Dasai) – October 12 – Banks are closed in all states as it is the second Saturday of the month.
  • Durga Puja (Dassain) – October 14 – Banks are closed in Sikkim.
