Student credit cards are offered in two ways. One is a supplementary card issued to the primary credit cardholder. It allows sharing most of the benefits of the primary card without the need for a separate joining fee or annual fee.
If you are a student, being unemployed and not having a credit history can be a hindrance to getting a credit card. However, there is a way to get it. Broadly speaking, there are two options for a student to get a credit card. The first is to get an add-on card to the credit card held by the parents and the second is to get a credit card against a fixed deposit (FD) account.
