Now the facility of digital payment has been started at the general ticket counters at the railway stations of Kota division. QR code machines have been installed at about 90 railway stations. With this facility, passengers will be able to easily get tickets through online payment.

Digital payment will get a boost

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Rohit Malviya said that keeping in mind the promotion of digital payment and convenience of passengers, QR code display machines have been installed at all ticket counters. From the month of August, QR code machines have been installed at unreserved/reserved ticket counters at 90 railway stations of Kota for digital payment.

Payment will be done by scanning from mobile

The passenger can scan it using his mobile and make the payment. The additional facility of accepting payment through this digital QR code machine has been started at a total of 86 general ticket counters, 32 reservation cum general ticket counters and 20 reservation ticket counters of the division.

QR code based transactions are simple and secure for transparent transactions. There is a system of payment through QR code for digital payment at catering stalls, stalls operated under one station one product and all other types of stalls at all railway stations in Kota division.

Digital payments are being made through 346 Hand Held Terminal (HHT) machines allotted to the ticket checking staff in the division. Till now there was no provision for digital payment at unreserved ticket counters. However, digital payments were being made through POS machines at reserved ticket counters.
