Indigo Travel Advisory: The disruption of the services of the giant tech company Microsoft caused a huge disruption in the operations of airports and airlines on Friday.
IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa faced disruptions in online check-in and boarding processes on their networks, due to which they had to work through ‘offline’ medium. IndiGo has now issued a new travel advisory. Along with this, updates have also been shared regarding the arrangement of refund and alternative flights.
Indigo Travel Advisory: Indigo said in its advisory- ‘There may be problems till the weekend’
Indigo issued an advisory saying, ‘Due to technical problems around the world, our air travel system has been disrupted for some time. However, our team has worked hard to resolve this problem and the system has started working again. During this time, we sincerely apologize for the disruptions in the travel plans of the affected passengers. Although our system is working normally, we are constantly trying to restore completely smooth operations. This process may take some time, possibly it may last till the weekend.’

Indigo Travel Advisory: Check the status of your flight before arriving at the airport
Indigo further said in its advisory, ‘We humbly request all passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. We are making every effort to bring all the arrangements back on track as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.’ Indigo wrote on X, ‘We request you to reach the airport only after checking your flight status. If the flight is cancelled, visit goindigo.in/check-flightstatus.html for alternate flight and refund.
K. Ram Mohan Naidu said- ‘All issues can be resolved by Saturday afternoon’
Civil Aviation Minister K Ramamohan Naidu said airline systems affected by the global IT disruption have started functioning normally. He said all issues are likely to be resolved by Saturday afternoon. The ministry is constantly monitoring the operations of airports and airlines to take care of travel adjustments and refunds. Information Technology (IT) Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said his ministry is in touch with Microsoft and NIC is not affected by the network disruption.
