IMD’s warning..! Heavy rain will occur in these 25 states in the next three hours, check city list here

Rain Alert: Monsoon season is continuing and heavy rains are falling in many states. Due to rain in the mountains, many types of problems are also being faced.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has informed on Friday evening that within the next three hours, there is going to be heavy rain in 25 states including UP-Uttarakhand. In such a situation, people also need to be alert. Warning of thunderstorms and lightning has also been issued at many places.

There will be heavy rain in these states.

The Meteorological Department posted on the social media platform ‘X’ at 5:30 pm on Friday evening, “Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, South Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram will receive moderate and at many places heavy rain in the next three hours. Thunderstorms and strong winds are also predicted. Apart from this, lightning can also strike.

The Meteorological Department further said that apart from this, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andaman and Nicobar, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Punjab, Haryana, Lakshadweep are also likely to receive heavy rains in the next three hours.

Heavy rain forecast for four days in Odisha

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday forecast heavy rains in Odisha over the next four days as the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal turned into a severe depression. According to the IMD, at 8:30 am, the depression was centered over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, located about 70 km southeast of Puri (Odisha), 130 km east of Gopalpur (Odisha), 130 km south-southeast of Paradip (Odisha) and 240 km east-northeast of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). The bulletin said, “It is likely to move northwest and cross the Odisha coast near Puri on Saturday (July 20) morning. It will then move west-northwest through Odisha and Chhattisgarh and gradually weaken during the next 24 hours.”
