Bank Holidays February 2025: Bank holidays are determined by the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI. For example, you can know about the holidays of the month of February here.
In today’s era, almost everyone has a bank account. Like, someone has a salary account, someone has a savings account, someone has a joint account and many people also have current accounts. In such a situation, people have to go to their bank branch many times for some work. So if you are also planning to go to the bank in the month of February, then first know when the banks can remain closed and when they will remain open.
It is also important to know this because it lets you know on which day you do not have to go to the bank and on which day you should not go so that your work does not get stuck. 2, 3, 8, 9 and 11 February
Banks will remain closed across the country on 2nd February due to Sunday being a weekly holiday. Whereas, banks will remain closed in Agartala on 3rd February due to Saraswati Puja
Banks will remain closed on 8 February as it is the second Saturday of the month. Banks will remain closed on 9 February as it is Sunday. Also, banks will remain closed on 11 February due to Thai Poosam.
12, 15 and 16 February
Banks in Shimla will remain closed on 12 February due to Shri Ravidas Jayanti. On 15 February, there is Lui-Ngai-Ni due to which banks will remain closed in Imphal
On the other hand, 16th February is a Sunday weekly holiday due to which all the banks in the country will remain closed.
19th and 20th February
February 19 is the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and due to this, banks will remain closed in Mumbai, Belapur and Nagpur
Due to State Hood Day on Thursday, 20 February, banks in Aizawl and Itanagar will remain closed and will remain closed.
22, 23 and 26 February
22nd February is the fourth Saturday of the month due to which banks will remain closed and 23rd February will be a Sunday holiday. Therefore, banks will remain closed across the country on both these days
Maha Shivratri is on 26 February, due to which banks will remain closed in many states. This includes Aizawl, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Belapur, Dehradun, Shimla, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Bhopal and Ahmedabad.
