Namo Bharat Rapid Rail- Vande Metro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to flag off the country’s first Vande Metro train on Monday. Just a few hours before its launch, the Railway Ministry has changed the name of ‘Bhuj-Ahmedabad Vande Metro’ to ‘Namo Bharat Rapid’ rail. The spokesperson said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off this service from Bhuj railway station at 4.15 pm. Modi will be present in Ahmedabad.
A railway spokesperson said that the ministry has decided to rename Vande Metro as Namo Bharat Rapid Rail. According to the Railway Ministry, while other metro trains cover only short distances, Namo Bharat Train will connect Ahmedabad to its surrounding cities.
Vande Metro will travel to 9 stations
Vande Metro will travel from Bhuj in Gujarat to Ahmedabad. Vande Metro train will complete the journey in 5 hours 45 minutes, stopping at 9 stations for an average of 2 minutes. Vande Metro Ticket Prices: Vande Metro ticket will be ₹30
Talking about the tickets of the country’s first Vande Metro train, its minimum fare will be Rs 30 including GST. Apart from this, the fare of season tickets weekly, fortnightly (15 days) and monthly season tickets will be charged as per the table equal to ₹ 7, ₹ 15 and ₹ 20 respectively for a single journey of Vande Metro. Vande Metro provides efficient and comfortable travel of 3 to 4 hours. This Vande Metro train with 12 coaches will have a seating capacity of 1,150 passengers.
