Union Budget 2024: Govt increases limit of MUDRA loans from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh

Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the budget. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s focus in the budget is on the common man and businessmen.

The Finance Minister has made many announcements in the first budget of the Modi government, which came to power for the third time. In the budget, the limit of Mudra Loan has been increased to Rs 20 lakh. Under this scheme, a loan of Rs 10 lakh is available for doing business till now. Now businessmen can get a loan of up to Rs 20 lakh instead of Rs 10 lakh for loan under Mudra Loan.

Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana was started in the year 2015. While launching this scheme in April 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that people think that only big companies generate more employment. But the truth is that these big companies have provided employment to only 1.25 crore people, while the country’s MSME sector is providing employment to 12 crore people.

Mudra Yojana was started with this vision. Under the scheme, about Rs 20 lakh crore has been given in more than 37 crore loan accounts in about 7 and a half years.
