Indian Railways: Fog has started hitting many states of the country. Due to this the visibility has reduced drastically. In such a situation, the Northeast Railway has decided to cancel more than 70 trains.
At the same time, the schedule of many trains has been changed. These trains will be canceled from 1 December 2024 to 28 February 2025. This may increase the problems of the passengers.
Cold has started in many areas of the country. At the same time, the outbreak of fog has also started. In such a situation, Indian Railways has taken a big decision regarding the movement of trains. In view of the fog, the Northeast Railway has decided to cancel more than 70 trains from 1 December 2024 to 28 February 2025. In this, some trains have been temporarily canceled. At the same time, the number of trips of many trains has been reduced. Apart from this, there are some trains which will run only on special days.
Railways says that due to the reduction in speed of trains during fog, the capacity of the line gets affected. Keeping this in mind, the number of trains has to be reduced. During this period, some trains with low occupancy have been cancelled and the frequency of some trains has also been reduced.

857 fog safe devices installed in trains
According to an official of Northeast Railway, a total of 857 fog safe devices have been arranged. Out of which 315 fog safe devices have been provided in Lucknow division, 193 in Izzatnagar division and 349 in Varanasi division.
