The name of this facility is Prepaid Touch & Go Card. Drivers get this on the POS machine installed at the toll plazas itself. If needed, anyone can buy a prepaid touch and go card from there and use it. This is also like any other common card related to money transactions. By using this, one can proceed by paying toll tax while avoiding double charge at the toll plaza.
When may you have to pay double toll tax?
According to the rules of NHAI, it is very important to take another precaution regarding the use of Fastag. Otherwise, despite having Fastag in your vehicle, you may have to pay double toll tax. At the end of March this year, all toll plaza operators have also been given guidelines in this regard.
This new rule states that if the Fastag is not pasted on the vehicle’s windshield, then despite having a Fastag, you will have to pay double charge.
