Actually, Prime Minister Modi visited his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Tuesday. This is his first visit to Varanasi after becoming the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term. During this, PM Modi has released installments of more than Rs 20,000 crore for about 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers.

Detail of the plan
Launched in 2019, PM-KISAN is a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) initiative. Under this, beneficiary farmers are given an annual amount of Rs 6,000 in three equal installments to meet their financial needs. Since the launch of the scheme, the Center has distributed an amount of more than Rs 3 lakh crore to more than 11 crore farmers across the country.

The enrollment process of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is easy. You can register yourself online by visiting the official portal http://pmkisan.gov.in. For enrollment under PM-KISAN, farmers can also contact the local Patwari / Revenue Officer / Nodal Officer nominated by the State Government. Special facilities for enrollment have been started through Kisan Corner on PM-KISAN portal, CSC and mobile app.
