PM Kisan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Bhagalpur, Bihar. A total of more than Rs 22,000 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers under this scheme. This scheme is being run with the aim of providing financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, so that they can easily meet the expenses related to farming.
6,000 rupees are given to farmers every year
Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given financial assistance of Rs 2,000 every four months, which makes them receive a total of Rs 6,000 annually. This amount is transferred directly to their bank accounts so that they can meet the needs of seeds, fertilizers and other agricultural needs.
9.6 crore farmers got benefit in the 18th installment
According to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, 9.6 crore farmers had benefited from this scheme during the 18th installment, while this number increased to 9.8 crore in the 19th installment. This makes it clear that the scope of the scheme is constantly increasing and more farmers are taking advantage of this assistance.
3.46 lakh crore rupees have been distributed so far
The government has so far distributed Rs 3.46 lakh crore under this scheme. After the release of the 19th installment, this figure has increased to Rs 3.68 lakh crore. It has become the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, which is providing financial security to farmers.
How to check the status of PM Kisan Yojana?
If you want to know whether your installment has been released or not, then follow the following procedure
- Visit the official website of PM Kisan – pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on “Know Your Status”
- Select “Beneficiary Status” option
- Enter the registration number or mobile number
- Enter the captcha code and click on “Get Data”
- Your payment status will be displayed on the screen
If your installment has been released, the message “Payment Successfully Credited” will appear.
What to do if the money doesn’t come?
If money hasn’t been credited to your account, there are a few possible causes and solutions:
Complete e-KYC
- Without e-KYC the money may get stuck.
- Complete it from the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or online portal.

- Check IFSC code and Aadhar linking in bank account.
- In case of any error, go to the bank and get the information updated.
