Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has said goodbye to wrestling. She has given this information by posting on social media. Vinesh Phogat said in a social media post, “Maa, wrestling won over me, I lost. Forgive me, your dream, my courage is all broken, I do not have any more strength now. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024. She apologized and said that she will always be indebted to all of you.”
Vinesh Phogat won the semi-final match against her competitor by a margin of 5-0 and was the first Indian female wrestler to qualify for the Olympic final.
‘I did not lose, I was defeated…’
After Vinesh’s announcement, wrestler Bajrang Punia reacted by posting on social media. He wrote, “Vinesh you have not lost but have been defeated, for us you will always be a winner, you are not only India’s daughter but also India’s pride.”
