Coming late and leaving early. Such complaints are usually about government employees. Since the Corona attack in India, their habit of coming late has increased. Now this is not going to continue for long.
The reason is that the central government has tightened the noose on government officials. The government has issued a strict warning for such employees. The government made it clear that government officials who come late and leave early need to take this seriously. Government officials will be allowed to come to the office 15 minutes late at the most.
This is the office timing.
All the offices of the central government are open from 9 am to 5.30 pm. At the same time, there is a complaint that junior employees come late and leave early. Employees with public-facing jobs are also included among those who do this. Now the rules have been made strict. Under this, all the central employees of the country will have to reach the office by 9.15 in any case. Also, their attendance will have to be registered through biometric system. In fact, since the corona epidemic came 4 years ago, most of the government employees are not doing biometric punch.

If you come late to office, you will be forced to work for half day. In the order issued by the Personnel Ministry, it has been said that if the staff does not come to office by 9.15 am, then they will be forced to work for half day. If for any reason, the employee is unable to come to office on a particular day, then he will have to inform about it in advance. If leave is required in emergency situation, then an application will have to be made for that also. Now all the departments will monitor the presence of their employees in office and their coming and going on time. Often, employees make excuses like traffic jam or coming from far away when they reach office late.
Action can be taken if you come late to the office
The new instructions of the Central Government refer to the instructions issued last year. In fact, the government had re-started biometrics for employees in February 2022. The government said that the habit of habitually coming late and leaving the office early needs to be taken seriously. Action can be taken against those doing so. The new order of the government can become a headache for those employees who come to the office at 10 am or later and go home whenever they feel like it.
