New Delhi. Delhiites should strengthen their hearts, because now if you cross a red light or drive at over speed, you will not be able to escape the eyes of millions. Delhi’s DCP (Traffic) SK Singh submitted a report to the Lieutenant Governor in this regard, and he talked about big changes.

Delhi’s LG has instructed the traffic police to make the process of issuing challans and delivering it to the people more simple and effective.

LG has said that cameras have been installed to keep an eye on traffic in Delhi, which issue challans for any mistake. But the real problem is that after issuing the challan, it does not reach the concerned vehicle driver. Due to this, lakhs of cases of challan payment remain pending. There are lakhs of such cases pending in Delhi’s traffic Lok Adalats and challans cannot be recovered from the people. Preparations are being made to settle this process more quickly.

WhatsApp will play an important role.

The Deputy Governor said that a system should be developed to immediately inform people after challan is issued. For this, take the help of WhatsApp and WhatsApp facility should also be added to the system connected to traffic cameras. This will enable people to immediately receive the message of challan being issued. The current situation is such that a large number of people do not even know that a challan has been issued for their vehicle.

Now information is received through SMS

Delhi’s DCP (Traffic) SK Singh said that paying the challan will be made easier. For this, we will use the phone numbers given with the vehicle’s registration. Now the challan issued automatically is also sent through SMS. But, most people do not check their SMS and they get information about the challan late. So now we will send its information on WhatsApp.

Delhi’s eyes will be sharper.

The Lieutenant Governor has said that the biggest problem is due to illegal parking. Especially buses are parked on the roadside and even on flyovers. To deal with this problem, AI based automatic cameras will be installed, which will be able to read your vehicle number more clearly and can also issue challan immediately. He also directed to make a more effective system for parking and pollution certificate.
