Advance ticket facility 120 days in advance
Just like you get the facility of 4 months i.e. 120 days advance ticket booking for train reservation from IRCTC website, similarly, now you will get the facility of 120 days advance booking for travelling by metro. Once booked, the ticket will remain valid for 4 days. Whereas currently the validity of metro ticket is also for one day only. The metro ticket will remain valid for 2 days before and 2 days after the scheduled date of travel. That means even if you reach early or late, your money will not be wasted and you will be able to travel with the same metro ticket. If for any reason the train ticket has to be cancelled, then the metro ticket can also be cancelled along with it.

This is how you can book tickets
Metro tickets can be booked through IRCTC’s website and app. Once booked, the ticket will be valid for 4 days. Whereas currently the validity of metro tickets is also for one day only. Changes will be made in the booking system of Delhi Metro Rail for booking metro tickets from IRCTC. Metro tickets with QR code will be booked, their QR codes will be printed on the train tickets.
