The Delhi government will give Rs 1000 to women, which will be given under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana. This scheme was announced by former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday. Now Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has said that the first two installments of Rs 1000 under the Mahila Samman Yojana will be sent by the end of the current financial year.

2100 rupees per month after elections!
CM Atishi said that this scheme passed by the cabinet last night was notified by the evening. She further said that all women, who are residents of Delhi and registered voters till December 12, 2024, will be eligible for this. On Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal had said that the monthly amount is expected to be increased to Rs 2100 after the upcoming assembly elections. Kejriwal said that the current amount is being considered inadequate by many women.
Who can avail the benefit of the scheme?
- All women of Delhi, who have been residents of Delhi as on 12 December 2024 and are registered as voters.
- This scheme will not be open to some people like those who are or were permanent government employees, elected officials like MPs, MLAs or councillors, women who have recently paid taxes and those who are already availing any other pension scheme of the Delhi government.
- Only women aged 18 years or above will be given its benefit.
- The maximum annual family income will be Rs 3 lakh.
- Those receiving government benefits, government employment, tax payers, pensioners will not be eligible for this scheme.
Which documents are required?
To apply under this scheme, you need to have some documents. This includes Aadhar card, voter ID card, PAN card, bank account details, address proof like electricity bill, water bill or ration card. Birth certificate, school leaving certificate, or passport are included as proof of age. Apart from this, income certificate, self-declaration – applicants have to submit a document confirming that they meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme.

- After filling the form completely, it has to be submitted along with the required documents to the nearest government office.
- The government will carefully review all applications for financial assistance.
- After submitting the form the information provided will be thoroughly verified by the authorities. If approved, you will receive a notification from the authorities confirming your eligibility for the scheme benefits.
