Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by up to ₹16, effective Wednesday, October 1, 2025. However, the companies have not made any change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders.
According to Indian Oil’s official website, the price of this cylinder has been increased by ₹15 in Delhi, and is now available for ₹1595 instead of ₹1580. In Kolkata, the same cylinder has become costlier by ₹16 and is now available for ₹1700.
How much is the cylinder available in Mumbai-Chennai?
The price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has also increased by Rs 16 to Rs 1547 in Mumbai, while in Chennai the same cylinder has become costlier by Rs 16 and it is available for Rs 1754 from October 1.
No change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder
There has been no change in the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG gas cylinder. Current prices show that this cylinder is available for ₹853.00 in Delhi, ₹879.00 in Kolkata, ₹852.50 in Mumbai, and ₹868.50 in Chennai.
ATF prices also increased from October 1
Oil marketing companies have announced a hike in the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel or ATF for the month of October, taking its price by an average of Rs 3,052.5 per kilolitre. The price of ATF for domestic airlines is Rs 93,766.02 per kilolitre in Delhi. Similarly, it is Rs 87,714.39 per kilolitre in Mumbai. It is Rs 96,816.58 per kilolitre in Kolkata and Rs 97,302.14 per kilolitre in Chennai. It should be noted that 1 kilolitre of ATF is equal to 1000 litres.
The continued rise in ATF prices is a growing concern for the Indian aviation sector, as fuel typically accounts for approximately 30% to 40% of an airline’s total operating expenses. It’s worth noting that these increases come at a time when airlines were preparing for increased travel demand during the upcoming holidays.
