Varanasi: The effect of the second phase of monsoon is visible in UP. Rain has been continuing in different parts of UP for the last three days. Now the new update of IMD has also come regarding monsoon.
Heavy rain may occur in eastern and western UP between 5 and 6 August. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding this. However, now the temperature will not fall much during the rain. The maximum and minimum temperature may decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorologist at BHU, said that a deep pressure area has formed over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southern UP. Due to which there is a possibility of good rain in many parts of UP. However, there will be less or more rain in the entire UP for the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of rain in these areas for 24 hours
According to the weather department forecast, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Lalitpur, Etawah, Mainpuri, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Mathura, Jhansi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Deoria, Basti, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Chandauli and surrounding areas. At some places, lightning may also occur.
Rain occurred in 30 districts of UP
On Sunday, strong winds continued in many areas including Varanasi-Lucknow. According to the data, it rained in 30 districts of UP on August 4. In Varanasi too, it rained three to four times throughout the day amid the play of hide and seek between sun and clouds. On the other hand, there was heavy rain in Lalitpur and Etawah too. Apart from this, clouds also rained in Lakhimpur Kheri. There was also a spell of rain in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. Along with rain, the havoc of floods is also being seen in many areas.
