Doorstep Banking: Pensioners can make digital life certificate sitting at home, no need to go anywhere

0

Doorstep Banking: After retirement, the government employee starts worrying about pension. The biggest problem occurs when an elderly person has to visit pension distribution offices to submit his life certificate.

To overcome this problem, the government is planning to simplify this process. In this sequence, the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DOPPW) has launched the nationwide DLC Campaign 3.0 in November 2024 to simplify the process of submission of life certificate for pensioners through face authentication technology.

This method allows pensioners to submit their certificate through Aadhaar-based identification on Android smart phones. Pensioners earlier had to visit the pension disbursing authorities for this, which was quite difficult for senior citizens. Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan) was first introduced by DoPPW in 2014, followed by the adoption of face authentication technology in 2021.

Elderly people will get relief

The Digital Life Certificate Scheme for Pensioners of the Government of India aims to solve this problem by digitizing the entire life certificate application process. It seeks to make the process of obtaining this certificate more efficient, hassle-free and much simpler for the elderly. This project will greatly help pensioners. It will eliminate unnecessary logistical hurdles by eliminating the need for them to appear physically in front of the certification authority or disbursing agency repeatedly.
