Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced to start international flight check-in service at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations on the Airport Express Line from the first week of June. This service will help passengers flying from Indira Gandhi International Airport avoid long check-in queues and also improve their travel experience.
Air India and Vistara partnered with DMRC
In collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Air India and Vistara, DMRC is expanding this service to facilitate easy check-in for international passengers at 2 major metro stations in Delhi. Earlier this service was available only for domestic passengers, now international passengers traveling by Air India and Vistara airlines can also avail the benefit of ‘check-in and baggage-drop’. To make this service available to more and more passengers, Delhi Metro has also invited other airlines to join this service.
Passengers can check their luggage at these metro stations and their luggage will be safely delivered to the aircraft using advanced automated systems.
When will the service be available?
This service is available for Air India passengers at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and for Vistara Airlines passengers at New Delhi from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
