New Delhi. Private sector Axis Bank has said that the merger of Citibank’s credit card will be completed by July 15. To avoid any problems for customers, Axis Bank has also made available all the answers to questions related to this (FAQ) on its website.
According to this, even after July 15, all the benefits offered by Axis Bank will continue on existing Citibank cards until a new card is received.
Axis Bank issued FAQ regarding questions of Citi Bank customers
Q. Will I be able to access my Citibank Savings Account through Axis Bank Internet Banking?
Ans. Yes, after migration to Axis Bank you will be able to access all the past data of your Citibank Savings Account through Axis Bank Internet Banking and Mobile Banking App.
Q. I have accounts in Citibank and Axis Bank. Will my customer ID be same for all my accounts for net banking?
A. After migration, the accounts will be merged under a common customer ID which will be used for digital banking.
Question- Will my customer ID change after the transfer of business?
Answer- Yes, you will get a new customer ID on transfer to Axis Bank.
Question- I have accounts in both Axis Bank and Citibank. What will happen to these accounts? Do I have to close one account?
Answer- No, you do not need to close any account as after migration, Citibank accounts will be migrated to Axis Bank system and merged under a common customer ID. As per regulatory guidelines, you have to close one account for BSBDA account.
Question- I have closed my Citibank account and I need information regarding the closure. I want to know the status of the funds and how to check them?
Answer- If the account is closed before 1st March 2023, please write to serviceindia@citi.com. You can visit any Axis Bank branch for closure effective from 1st March 2023.
Q. I am a Citigold Private Client / Citigold / Citi Priority / Suvidha Salary customer. Which segment will I be a part of in Axis Bank?
A. You will be informed about your new segment before the migration. Axis Bank will ensure that your experience remains unchanged after this migration.
