Canara Bank: The X platform of the big public sector bank Canara Bank was hacked on Saturday 22 June 2024. After the social media handle X was hacked (Canara Bank X Handle Hacked), the hacker changed the name of the official X handle of the bank to ‘ ether.fi ‘. Along with this, the location was changed to Cayman Island.
The bank has informed its customers about this by issuing an official notification on its Facebook page on Sunday 23 June 2024. The bank said that Canara Bank would like to inform all concerned parties that the official X (Twitter) handle of the bank has been tampered with. All teams are investigating the matter and the bank is working to get access to its handle.
Customers were cautioned to be cautious
Canara Bank has advised its customers not to post anything on the hacked X handle of Canara Bank. Along with this, the bank said that we are trying to resolve this problem as soon as possible in collaboration with X and after getting the X handle, we will definitely inform our customers about this. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to the customers.

A similar incident happened with Axis Bank as well
It is worth noting that this is not the first case when a bank’s support handle has been hacked in this manner. Earlier, the support handle of private sector bank Axis Bank was also hacked by hackers. After this, many types of posts were made for cryptocurrency from the bank’s handle. As soon as the information about this matter was received, the bank started investigating.
