Bank Holiday: Banks will remain closed for 8 out of 28 days in February, see the complete list of holidays

The first month of the year is about to end. The new month i.e. February is going to start after 3 days. There are going to be many bank holidays in February, 2025. Out of the 28 days of this month, banks will not work on 8 days.

Apart from the weekly holidays of Saturday and Sunday, banks will remain closed due to many festivals and some important days. In such a situation, if you are also thinking of going to the bank branch to get some important work done next month, then first check the list of holidays.

The Reserve Bank of India releases a list of bank holidays every calendar year. It is important to know here that banks across the country will remain closed for 8 days in February. Many of the holidays in the list of holidays released by RBI are at the national level. Banking services will remain closed across the country on those days. Along with this, some holidays are at the local or regional level. On those days, bank branches are closed only in the respective states. Apart from Sundays, banks across the country also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

Online Services Will Continue

Sometimes, important work gets stuck due to holidays in banks. But now, since most of the services are done online by banks, there is not much of a problem. The special thing is that the online services of banks remain operational even on holidays. Therefore, you can do many things including transferring money from one bank account to another through net banking, mobile banking or UPI.

  • February 3, 2025 (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Saraswati Puja.
  • February 11, 2025 (Tuesday):**Banks will remain closed in Chennai on the occasion of Thai Pusam.
  • February 12, 2025 (Wednesday) : Banks will remain closed in Shimla on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti.
  • February 15, 2025 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed in Imphal on the occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni.
  • February 19, 2025 (Wednesday): Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Nagpur and Mumbai on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.
  • February 20, 2025 (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Aizawl and Itanagar on the occasion of Rajya Sabha.
  • February 26, 2025 (Wednesday): Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Hyderabad (Telangana), Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai on Mahashivratri, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • February 28, 2025 (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Gangtok region on the occasion of Losar.
