In the month of October, banks will remain closed for 15 days in the entire month including Dussehra and Diwali holidays. There will be bank holiday in these states on 31 October

According to the Reserve Bank of India, all public and private banks will remain closed on 31 October 2024 on the occasion of Diwali in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, while all banks in Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Maharashtra will continue to function as usual.

Diwali holiday will be on 1st November in these states

Apart from this, on Friday, November 1, all banks in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Manipur will have a public holiday on the occasion of Deepawali, Kut Mahotsav and Kannada Rajyotsava.

After this, on Saturday, November 2, all banks in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh will remain closed on Diwali (Bali Pratipada) / Balipadyami / Lakshmi Puja / Govardhan Puja / Vikram Samvat New Year’s Day. On the other hand, all

private and government banks will remain closed on Sunday, November 3 due to Sunday being a weekly holiday.

Let us tell you that in Karnataka, Maharashtra, banks will remain closed for 4 consecutive days i.e. 31st October, 1st November, 2nd November and 3rd November, whereas in Uttarakhand and Sikkim, banks will remain closed for 3 consecutive days i.e. 1st November, 2nd November and 3rd November.
