Auto companies have released their July sales figures today. There is little hope of spectacular car sales figures, however, double digit growth was definitely seen in two-wheeler sales last month, and in this too, leadership was maintained by Bajaj Auto and Honda.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M): Sales increased, exports decreased
Mahindra & Mahindra achieved good growth in the commercial vehicle segment in July, although 3-wheeler sales saw a sharp decline. Export figures also declined.
- Total auto sales in July 66,444 units
- Domestic commercial vehicle sales 19,713 units
- Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew 15% to 41,623 units (YoY)
- 3-wheeler sales declined 45% to 3,593 units (YoY)
- Total exports declined 4% to 1,515 units (YoY)
Tata Motors: After June, sales fell in July too
Tata Motors’ sales have been falling continuously. The company’s domestic sales fell by 8% in June and now once again a decline of 11% has been registered in July.

- Total passenger vehicle sales fell 6% to 44,954 units (YoY)
- Total commercial vehicle sales fell 18% to 27,042 units (YoY)
- Domestic sales fell 11% to 70,161 units (YoY)
- Total sales fell from 80,633 to 71,996 units (YoY)
Ashok Leyland’s sales fell
Ashok Leyland’s domestic sales declined by 9% to 12,926 units. At the same time, the company’s mid and high commercial vehicles (M&HCV) sales declined by 14% to 7,685 units.

Bajaj Auto’s sales have registered a year-on-year increase in July. The company sold a total of 3.54 lakh vehicles in July.

- 2-wheeler sales grew 11% to 2.98 lakh units (YoY)
- Commercial vehicle sales grew 11% to 56,628 units (YoY)
TVS Motors
In July, TVS Motor’s total sales registered a growth of 9%. The company got the most benefit in the EV segment, where a total of 21,442 units were sold with a growth of 61%.

- Motorcycle sales grew 5% to 1.61 lakh units (YoY)
