Not linking PAN card to Aadhaar card: By March 31, 2023, it was made mandatory to link all PAN cards to Aadhaar cards. If you have not done so, your PAN card may have been deactivated.
PAN card verification not completed: The Income Tax Department verifies the identity of PAN card holders from time to time. If the verification process fails, your PAN card can be deactivated.
Non-use of PAN card: If you have never used your PAN card in the last 5 years, it can be deactivated.

– In the ‘Quick Links’ menu, click on ‘Know Your PAN Status’.
-Enter your PAN number, date of birth and name linked in the PAN card.
– Click on ‘Submit’ button.
– Your PAN card status will appear on your screen.
