WhatsApp will stop working on many Android and iOS smartphones. The affected users will lose all the WhatsApp chats from their devices which they have not backed up. WhatsApp periodically stops its support for smartphones running on older operating system versions.
This list is updated after a period of time. Even though Android 15 or iOS 18 has been released today, there are many users who are running phones running on very old software versions. WhatsApp stops support for these devices. Here we are telling you the list of all those devices which have lost WhatsApp support and their chats are now in danger.
First of all, let us tell you that according to WhatsApp, WhatsApp service has been discontinued on devices running on Android 4 or older, iOS 11 or older and Kai OS 2.4 or older. Currently, only those devices will get WhatsApp support and updates which are running on Android 5 or newer, iOS 11 or newer and Kai OS 2.5 or newer versions.
However, WhatsApp did not mention the names of those smartphones on which WhatsApp service has stopped. But according to a Portuguese website Canaltech, there are 35 such smartphones in the list which have lost support. These include smartphones of Samsung, Apple, Motorola, Huawei and some other brands.
