LIC: Now you can pay your LIC premium through Whatsapp. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has given another big service to its customers. Now you can pay the premium of your LIC policy through WhatsApp. LIC has started this new service through its WhatsApp Bot service. Its purpose is to give customers an easy and fast way to pay from anywhere at any time.
How to make premium payment on WhatsApp?
To avail this service of LIC, customers just have to send ‘HI’ to LIC’s WhatsApp number 8976862090. After this, many options will appear on the screen, from which you can choose the option according to your need. If you have already registered your policy on the LIC website, then you can see your due premium directly on the WhatsApp Bot. You can also make payment from there through UPI, net banking or card. After making the payment, you will also get a receipt immediately.
LIC Chairman and Managing Director Siddharth Mohanty said that with this service, customers will get speed and transparency in operations along with service. LIC services will now become easier than before through a popular medium like WhatsApp.
How to register on LIC portal?
If you are not yet registered on the LIC website, then first you have to go to www.licindia.in and register yourself. For this, you have to follow these steps.

Your policy number (in your name or that of your minor children)
Premium amount (excluding GST/service tax)
Scanned copy of PAN card or Passport (less than 100 KB in size, in jpg/jpeg format)
Steps
Open LIC website and click on Customer Portal.
Click on New User.
Register by choosing your User ID and Password.
After logging in, go to Basic Services and click on Add Policy and add all your policies.
After this you can use Basic Services. If you want Premium Services, then follow the 3 steps given below.
Registration for Premier Services
Step 1: Fill out the form
Your pre-filled mobile number, email and date of birth will be automatically populated in the registration form
Enter PAN or Passport number.
All your policy numbers will be visible in the list.
Step 2: Print and sign the form.
Download the form, check it and sign it.
Also keep a scanned copy of PAN or Passport ready (size less than 100 KB)
Step 3: Upload the form and documents.
Visit the website and upload the scanned forms and documents.
Press the Submit button.
You will be informed through SMS and email.
Premier services will start after Customer Zone verification in 3 working days.
