You will no longer be able to share passwords with friends on the popular OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. Earlier, Netflix had banned password sharing. Disney CEO Bob Egger said that we are going to ban password sharing on our OTT platform from September.

After this, users will not be able to share their passwords with friends. The company hopes that this will increase their subscribers.

Payment will have to be made for password sharing

Disney is informing its existing users about new paid sharing plans. This means that now users will have to make additional payment to share passwords. The company is going to bring this plan in many countries.

It is expected that this plan will be available to all subscribers soon. At present, there is not much information about this plan.

Disney is on the way to Netflix

Netflix banned password sharing last year. Now other platforms are also gradually joining this list. The ban on password sharing and affordable plans have led to an increase in subscriptions. Now Disney is also focusing on increasing its subscriber base by stopping password sharing. However, many users log in with others’ passwords.
