If you order food online from Zomato, then there is good news for you. The company has started a special facility for its customers.
In this, the company says that now Zomato customers can ask to add the balance of cash on delivery (COD) order, if any, to their ‘Zomato Money’ account, and use it to place future orders or eat out. The company’s CEO Deepinder Goyal gave this information on Wednesday.

According to the news, CEO Deepinder Goyal thanked Tata Group firm BigBasket for the inspiration behind the solution. Goyal said in a post on X-For cash on delivery orders, finding the exact change can sometimes be inconvenient. Starting today, our customers can pay the delivery partner in cash, and ask for the balance to be added to their Zomato Money account instantly. This balance can be used for future delivery orders or eating out.

Significant increase in the net profit of the company
Zomato CEO said that our delivery partner insisted that we develop it as soon as possible. The online food distribution company last week announced a significant increase in its consolidated net profit, which reached Rs 253 crore for the quarter ended June 2024, up from Rs 2 crore during the same period last year.
Food order service from one city to another
A few days ago, Zomato has also started a service for people to order food from one city to another. This service of Zomato has been started under the name of Intercity Legends. With this service of Zomato, customers can order their favorite food from special restaurants of one city to another. This food will be delivered the next day. For this new service, the company has put a condition that the order will be taken before 7 pm.
