Subhadra Yojna : To strengthen women financially, the government has launched the Subhadra scheme. Under the scheme, women will be given Rs 10,000 every year. This Rs 10,000 will be given in two installments of Rs 5,000.
Here we are telling you when these installments will come to the bank accounts of women. On 17 September 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Subhadra scheme in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This scheme has been specially designed for women. It is considered to be India’s largest women-centric scheme. The Prime Minister said that more than 1 crore women of Odisha will benefit from this scheme.
What is Subhadra Yojana?
Under the Subhadra Yojana, eligible women will be given financial assistance of Rs 50,000 during the next five years (2024-2029). Rs 10,000 will be given every year, which will be given in two installments. The first installment of Rs 5,000 will be given on the day of Rakhi Purnima and the second installment of Rs 5,000 will be given on International Women’s Day i.e. March 8. This money will be sent directly to the bank accounts of women through DBT i.e. Direct Benefit Transfer. As soon as the scheme started, money has been deposited in the accounts of more than 10 lakh women.
Benefits of Subhadra Yojana
There will be financial benefit : Women will get help of Rs 50,000 in 5 years, Rs 10,000 every year.
Subhadra Card : Beneficiaries will get Subhadra Card, which can be used like ATM and debit card. It will help in identification of women and financial transactions.
Reward for digital transactions : To promote digital transactions, 100 women doing the highest number of digital transactions in every Gram Panchayat or urban area will get an extra reward of Rs 500.
Who can apply?
Only those women will be able to join the scheme who are residents of Odisha and whose age is between 21 to 60 years.
Women who are already receiving assistance of Rs 1,500 per month or more under any government scheme will not be eligible for the Subhadra Scheme.
When will I get the first installment?
The first installment of Rs 5,000 will be given on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima and the second installment will be given on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025.
Where will the scheme be implemented?
This scheme will be implemented in all the 30 districts of Odisha, so that every eligible woman can avail the benefits.

Online Application : You can apply online by visiting the portal of Subhadra Yojana.
Offline Application: Forms can be obtained from Anganwadi Centre, Block Office, Mo Seva Kendra, and Common Service Centre. Application forms will be available free of cost and can be submitted at these centres.

Who is not eligible?
Women below 21 years and above 60 years of age.
Representatives holding public office.
Women who are taking financial assistance of more than Rs 1,500 from other government schemes will not be able to avail the benefit of this scheme.
Money will come on these dates
The first installment will be available on Rakhi Purnima 2025. Rakhi Purnima will be on 9 August 2025. The second installment will be given on 8 March 2025.
