Weather Update: Alert of very heavy rain in this state, dark clouds will create havoc on Saturday

Weather Update 14 September: It is raining continuously in many places from Delhi-NCR to Uttarakhand. Life is disrupted due to the rain. The Meteorological Department had issued a red alert for Uttarakhand on Friday. Schools across the state were closed due to rain. In Himachal also, 117 roads have been closed for traffic due to rain.

Two accidents due to rain in Delhi-NCR

In Delhi-NCR too, it rained intermittently since Friday morning. Due to the rain, the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in Ghaziabad’s Loni police station area. A woman and her two daughters sleeping in the house were buried under it. On the other hand, the wall of a dargah collapsed in Delhi’s Nabi Karim area. One person died and two people were injured due to this.

There is a possibility of more rain in Delhi-NCR on Saturday. Delhi will remain cloudy on Saturday. There will be light to moderate rain. The maximum temperature on Saturday is expected to be recorded at 30 degrees Celsius.

Most parts of Uttarakhand received continuous rain on Friday. According to Skymet Weather, heavy rain is expected in the state during the next 24 hours. Heavy rain is also expected in some areas of Himachal Pradesh.

Heavy rain alert in Uttar Pradesh too

In Uttar Pradesh, 10 people died in rain-related incidents in the last 24 hours. According to the Relief Commissioner’s Office, five people died in Mainpuri in incidents related to heavy rains during the last 24 hours, while two people each died in Jalaun and Banda and one person in Etah. An average of 28.6 mm of rain was recorded in Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours. Out of the 75 districts of the state, 51 recorded heavy rainfall. Hathras district recorded the highest rainfall of 185.1 mm.

According to the weather department, there is an alert of heavy rain in many places in western Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh as well.
