UP Roadways Driver Vacancy: The recruitment process for 6000 drivers on contract has started in all the regions of the state by Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. 8th pass can apply.
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has started the direct recruitment process for 6000 drivers in all the regions of the state. UP Roadways driver recruitment is to be done on contract basis. 98 contract drivers are to be appointed in Prayagraj region. Candidates willing to work as contract driver in Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation can submit the application form by contacting their nearest Transport Corporation depot or office on any working day. Candidates who are found completely suitable will be required to deposit a refundable amount of only Rs 2000.
Qualification –
- Must be at least 8th pass. Age should be at least 23 and a half years. SC, ST category will get relaxation as per the rules of the state government.
- Candidate should have a license to drive heavy vehicles. It should have been made two years ago.
- Height should be at least 5 feet 3 inches.

How much salary will be given
- Payment will be made at the rate of 1.89 paise per km. Besides this, on completion of 22 days duty and 5000 kms. Rs. 3000 will be given as incentive.
- On completion of two years of fixed service, provision of fixation of total Rs. 19593 including remuneration and incentives for the excellent category as per rules and total Rs.
- 16593 including remuneration and incentives under the Uttam category scheme.
- Extra annual incentive amount on operating the bus without accident.
- Facility of EPF and accident insurance of Rs. 7.50 lakh.
- Facility of free travel pass.
Advice to avoid rigging:
An advisory has been issued from the government level to avoid any rigging in this recruitment. The government has advised the candidates that the contract drivers are to be recruited directly (without any middle man). Therefore, the candidates should not get misled by anyone. 50 candidates were successful in the test:
Under the Prayagraj region of the corporation, a total of 200 candidates participated in the camps organised for the recruitment of contract drivers at Zero Road Depot, Badshahpur Depot, Civil Lines Depot and Lalganj Depot on June 10 and 11. According to the data released by RM MK Trivedi late on Tuesday evening, out of 200 candidates, 50 candidates were declared successful in the first stage of the test in two days. The documents of all of them have been submitted. Recruitment camps will also be organised on June 12 and 13.
