UIDAI issues 4 types of Aadhaar cards, which format of Aadhaar do you use?

Aadhaar Letter

A paper-based laminated letter containing a secure QR code with the date of issue and print date is called the Aadhaar letter. No fee has to be paid for this. It is sent to your home through post. If your original Aadhaar card is lost or damaged, you can get a new one. In this case, you can replace the Aadhaar letter online from the official website of UIDAI. A charge of Rs 50 is levied for this.

e-Aadhaar

The electronic version of the Aadhaar card is called e-Aadhaar. It is password protected. It is digitally signed by UIDAI. It also contains a secure QR code for offline verification. It can be downloaded from the official website of UIDAI, no charge is required for this. It is also considered as valid as the physical copy of Aadhaar.

PVC Aadhaar Card 

PVC Aadhar card is a compact size Aadhar card. Its size is like an ATM card or debit card and is very light and durable. It is also called plastic Aadhar card. It includes a digital QR code, a photo and demographic information. You can download it by visiting uidai.gov.in or Resident.uidai.gov.in through Aadhaar number, virtual ID, or enrollment ID. For this you have to pay a fee of Rs 50.

mAadhaar

mAadhaar is an official mobile application (mAadhaar Mobile App) developed by UIDAI. It provides an interface to Aadhaar holders to carry their Aadhaar records registered with CIDR. It also contains a secure QR code for offline verification. It can also be downloaded for free. It is also recognized as a valid ID.
