Because the Indore administration of Madhya Pradesh believes that begging on the streets tarnishes the image of the city. Therefore, the Indore administration has implemented rules to strictly ban beggars and those who give alms.
The new rule will be deemed to be effective from January 1, 2025
This rule of Indore administration will be considered effective from January 1, 2025. Under the new rule, if anyone is found giving alms to beggars in the city, an FIR will be registered against him. For this, Indore Police has also started a public awareness campaign in the city. Indore Prashant informed that an initiative has been taken to clean the city to implement the pilot plan of the central government.
The administration said that the new rule will be implemented from the first day of the new year i.e. 2025, under which the police will take strict action against those giving alms to beggars and register an FIR against them. District Magistrate Ashish Singh said that our campaign against begging will run in the city till the end of December 2024. From January 1, if any person is found giving money to beggars, a case will be registered against him.
Know what is the reason
Dinesh Mishra, the nodal officer of the pilot plan, while giving information said that it has been found in the report that some beggars have their own permanent houses. Even some children have good jobs. During a search, 29 thousand rupees were found from a beggar. While another beggar was found earning a lot by lending money on interest. In such a situation, the administration has decided to take strict action against these fake beggars.
