More than 80 crore people in the country avail the facility of ration at low price and free ration under the National Food Security Act. But now after January 1, the rules for ration card holders are going to change. Know which ration card holders will be affected by this.

Ration cards of these people will be cancelled

The government has already issued rules for e-KYC for ration card holders. The government had given time to all ration card holders for this. But there were many ration cards. Those who did not get e-KYC done till the prescribed limit. After this, the government had extended the deadline for e-KYC. Which has later been extended by the government till 31 December 2024.

This rule has been set by the government for all ration card holders of every state. But there are still many ration card holders who have not completed the process of e-KYC. If these ration card holders do not get e-KYC done by 31 December 2024. Then the ration cards of these people will be cancelled from 1 January 2025.

How to get e-KYC done?

If your ration card’s e-KYC has not been done yet, then you can get your ration card’s e-KYC done by visiting your nearest ration depot. For this, you will have to give your Aadhaar card there and complete the process by entering your fingerprint on the POS machine. Apart from this, the process of e-KYC can also be completed through mobile.
