Public Holidays in October 2024: Schools, colleges and offices will remain closed for 12 days!

October 3 (Thursday) – Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti and Shardiya Navratri

There will be holiday on Kati Bihu and Valmiki Jayanti in Assam and some other states.

20 October(Sunday) – Weekly Holiday

29 October (Tuesday) – Diwali (Optional Holiday)
Some institutions will have an optional holiday in preparation for Diwali.

October 30 (Wednesday) – Diwali (Optional Holiday)

October 31 (Thursday) – Narak Chaturdashi and Diwali
On this day there will be a public holiday in many states on the occasion of Diwali.
