Public Holiday: Schools, colleges, offices and banks will remain closed for 11 to 15 days, check details

Public Holiday: With the end of March, the month of April is about to knock. This month is going to be full of holidays. Along with public holidays, many major festivals are going to come in the month of April.

Due to which government offices, schools, colleges, LIC and banks are going to remain closed. National and state level holidays have been announced on major occasions like Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti.

Along with this, the effect of these holidays will be seen on banks as well. As per the rules of the Reserve Bank of India, banks remain closed every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Apart from this, holidays are also declared in banks on national and state level festivals. There will be many days in April, when banking services will be disrupted in different states. Which will also affect banking operations.

Banks declared holiday

  • In the beginning of April, on Tuesday, 1st April, due to Orissa Day, banks and government offices including schools and colleges will remain closed in Orissa. In view of Sarhul festival in Jharkhand, holiday has been declared in the whole of Jharkhand.
  • Holiday has been declared in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on 5th April on the occasion of Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti.
  • April 6 has been declared a national holiday on account of Ram Navami, in which holiday has been declared in Arunachal Pradesh Assam Goa Jharkhand Karnataka Kerala Lakshadweep Manipur Meghalaya Tripura West Bengal Tamil Nadu Puducherry Nagaland Mizoram.
  • On Mahavir Jayanti on Thursday, 10th April, there will be a holiday in many states including Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh.
  • On Monday, 14th April, there will be a holiday on Bihu in Assam. In Orissa, a holiday has been declared on 14th April on Bishu Sankranti. Apart from this, a holiday has been declared on Ambedkar Jayanti all over India. In Tamil Nadu, there will be a holiday on Tamil Day on 14th April. A holiday has also been declared on Bishu festival in Kerala.
  • Schools, colleges, government offices and banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh on April 15 as it is Himachal Day. Holiday has been declared in Tripura and West Bengal due to Bengali New Year.
  • There will be a holiday all over India on 18th April due to Good Friday.
  • Holiday has been declared in Nagaland on 19th April due to Easter.
  • A holiday has been declared on Baisakhi on 21st April in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
  • On the occasion of Parashuram Jayanti on 29th April, holiday has been declared in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan.
  • There will be a holiday on Vasava Jayanti on 30th April in Karnataka.

Long holiday in many states

In such a situation, many states are going to get a long holiday in the month of April. The benefit of which will be given to school college students and government office employees. Apart from this, the benefit of weekly holiday is also going to be available on Saturday and Sunday. In such a situation, government offices including schools and colleges are going to remain closed for 11 to 15 days in the month of April.
