Public holiday declared in 11 states on November 13, all govt and private offices including schools closed

The holiday season continues in November as well. A public holiday has been declared on November 13, 2024 (Wednesday) in view of the by-elections to be held in 34 assembly constituencies in 11 states of the country. On this day, all government, non-government offices, educational institutions and businesses will remain closed in these constituencies.

Voting will take place in 43 seats under the first phase of the assembly elections in Jharkhand, due to which there will be a holiday in these areas as well.

Holiday declared in these states:

Assam – Dholai (SC), Sidli (ST), Bongaigaon, Baapati, Samguri, Tarari
Bihar – Tarari, Ramgarh, Imamganj
Chhattisgarh – Raipur City
Gujarat – Shigaon, Sandur, Channapatna
Kerala – Chelakkara, Wayanad (Lok Sabha seat)
Madhya Pradesh – Budhni, Vijaypur
Meghalaya – Gemberge
Rajasthan – Ramgarh, Dausa, Deuli-Uniyara, Khinwasar, Slumber, Chorasi
Sikkim – Sorange-Chakung, Namching-Sidhinthang
Uttarakhand – Kedarnath
West Bengal – Seetai, Madirhat, Naihati, Haroa, Medinipur, Taldangra

Seats for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections:

Koderma, Barkatha, Bari, Barkagaon, Hazaribagh, Simaria, Chatra, Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West, Ichagarh, Saraikela, Chaibasa, Mazgaon, Jagannathpur, Manoharpur, Chakradharpur, Kharsanpur, Kharsan, Kharpawa. Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Mander, Sisai, Gumla, Vishunpur, Simdega, Kolebira, Lohardaga, Manika, Latehar, Panki, Daltenganj, Vishrampur, Chhatarpur, Hussainabad, Garwa, Bhavanthpur.

This holiday can give many people a long weekend, which will give them a chance to spend time with their families or make travel plans.
