Monsoon Date: IMD issued high alert regarding heavy rains in these states, check immediately

According to the Regional Meteorological Center, monsoon may arrive in Uttar Pradesh in the next two-three days. During the last 24 hours, many regions of the state, especially Bundelkhand, received good rainfall.

Rain Alert and Weather Update:The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday that monsoon is expected in Uttar Pradesh in 2-3 days. After this, it will rain in most parts of the state. Officials said that pre-monsoon conditions have already been activated and rain is likely in many parts of the state from Saturday. This will give relief to people from the scorching heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the heat wave is likely to continue in western UP for the time being. The mercury will go down in eastern UP from Saturday. The IMD has announced that the monsoon has reached Bihar. If everything goes well, it will enter Uttar Pradesh in the next two to three days. There is a possibility of good rain in and around the capital Lucknow on June 23-24.

At the same time, IMD has said that with the beginning of the rainy season in Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert. In view of heavy rains, four districts of Kumaon division, Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar have been put on alert from 24 to 26 June. According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, Dehradun, most parts of the state have been receiving rain for the last three days due to western disturbance. With the beginning of the pre-monsoon rains from 23 June, rain will start increasing in Uttarakhand.

Initially, from June 24, there will be heavy rain in four districts of Kumaon as well as some other places. It is expected that after June 27, there will be heavy rain in entire Uttarakhand. Monsoon will enter Uttarakhand anytime after June 25, which will reach the entire state in the next two-three days. On the other hand, there was rain at many places in Uttarakhand on Friday as well. The Meteorological Department has asked to be cautious while traveling to hilly areas including Chardham.

Relief with the arrival of monsoon in UP

The arrival of monsoon is just two-three days away but with its arrival people have already started getting relief. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, the monsoon might arrive in Uttar Pradesh in the next two-three days. During the last 24 hours, many regions of the state, especially Bundelkhand, received good rain. Banda and Sonbhadra recorded the highest rainfall of 5 cm each. Apart from this, 3 cm rain was recorded at Chillaghat in Jhansi, 2 cm each in Jalaun, Lalitpur and Churk, and 1 cm each in Naraini Banda, Baberu, Sultanpur, Ballia, Moradabad and Kalpi.

The weather department has predicted that during the next 24 hours heat wave is likely at some places in western UP, whereas eastern UP will experience humid heat. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at different places in eastern UP. Storm with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers is also possible. On 23rd June, there is a possibility of strong storm with a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Thunderstorm and rain have been predicted in entire Uttar Pradesh on 24th and 25th June.

. After entering the state with a delay of a week, the monsoon is currently limited to 14 districts only. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has stopped at the same place where it had arrived on Thursday. However, during the last 48 to 72 hours, the conditions have remained favorable for the advancement of the monsoon in the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Araria and Kishanganj districts on Saturday. At the same time, light rain with thunder and lightning may occur at some places in the remaining districts. During this time, winds are also likely to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Monsoon arrived in Madhya Pradesh three days late

The southwest monsoon reached Madhya Pradesh on Friday, three days behind its schedule, and is likely to cover the entire state in the next four to five days.
According to the IMD Bhopal Centre, the monsoon has entered Madhya Pradesh from Balaghat district. This has caused rain in Balaghat, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, Dindori and Anuppur districts in the eastern part of the state.

Monsoon and pre-monsoon rains are occurring in large parts of the state except the northern region including Gwalior and Chambal region. According to IMD, this time MP is expected to receive above normal rainfall. Last year, monsoon arrived in Madhya Pradesh on June 24 and covered the entire state by the next day.

Monsoon reached Jharkhand via Pakur-Barharwa

Passing through West Bengal, the monsoon reached Jharkhand on Friday via Pakur and Barharwa (Sahibganj). Ranchi Meteorological Department in-charge Abhishek Anand has confirmed the arrival of monsoon in Jharkhand. This time the monsoon has arrived here two days later than last year. In 2023, the monsoon had reached here on 19 June.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of South West Monsoon is visible here. Monsoon has moved towards Raxaul in Bihar via Sahibganj. According to the weather forecast, monsoon is expected to become active in the entire state in the next 3-4 days. While people have got relief from the heat due to rain in Dhanbad late in the evening, there has been torrential rain in Giridih for more than half an hour in the afternoon.
