IMD Weather Updates: IMD warns of heavy rain in these districts for next five days, check details

Weather Updates: Monsoon is in full swing. Along with other parts of the country, rain continues in Maharashtra as well. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many parts of Maharashtra and the country in the next five days.

Light to moderate rain is expected at most places in the coastal areas of Maharashtra and some places in the ghat areas. The department said that the monsoon will remain strong across the country till July 27, due to which the weather environment remains favorable.

Current weather condition

A low pressure area has formed from the coastal areas of Gujarat to the coastal areas of Kerala. Due to this, moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea are rapidly coming towards the coast. Due to high wind speed, these winds are crossing the ghat areas and reaching central Maharashtra. Heavy rains are expected in coastal areas and torrential rains at some places in the ghat areas in the next five days. Light to moderate rains may occur in the remaining areas. Moderate rains are also expected at some places in the Vidarbha region.

Two-week forecast

The Indian Meteorological Department has also released a forecast for the next two weeks, in which good rains are expected across the country till July 25. There is a possibility of good rains in the entire west coast, ghat region, Vidarbha, Northeast India and Central India.

Alert in these districts including Mumbai

The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for various districts of Maharashtra. According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Mumbai city, Mumbai suburbs, Thane, Palghar, while a yellow alert has been issued in Nashik, Yavatmal, Amravati, Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, Gondia.
