IMD Rain Alert:The weather department has forecast the next three-four days. In this, warning has been issued for many states. According to IMD, heavy rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next few days.
Apart from this, the weather conditions are not good in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh as well as Bihar and Jharkhand. The weather department has issued a heavy rain alert for Himachal Pradesh. Rain warning has been issued in 10 different districts till August 6. The next 36 hours are very important for Bihar. Warning has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms here.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for thunderstorms and lightning and extremely heavy rainfall during the next 36 hours for nine districts of Bihar. It also issued an ‘orange alert’ for districts like Arwal, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Jamui, Jehanabad, Kaimur, Katihar, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Munger, Nalanda, Nawada, Rohtas and Sheikhpura. The IMD said in the bulletin that extremely heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm/lightning is likely at isolated places over Aurangabad, Banka, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Jamui, Katihar, Munger, Nawada and Rohtas districts during the next two-three days. A yellow alert has also been issued for heavy rainfall at some places over Katihar, Rohtas, Aurangabad and Gaya districts during the next four-five days, the bulletin said.
Red alert means ‘take action’, ‘orange alert’ means ‘be cautious’, ‘yellow alert’ means ‘keep monitoring and keep getting information’ and ‘green alert’ means ‘no action is needed’. The state government has asked people to keep an eye on weather related information. The
Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for Maharashtra. According to this, moderate rain may occur in Palghar, Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar, Kolhapur and Sindhudurg in the next three-four hours. At the same time, rain has also shown its effect in Gujarat, where many parts of Vapi in Valsad have been flooded due to night rain. At
the same time, in Madhya Pradesh too, the local weather center has predicted heavy rain at many places in Bhopal, Damoh, Agar-Malwa, Dindori, Indore, Khargone, Maihar, Pandhurna, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Satna, Shajapur, Ujjain and Vidisha districts. In the capital Bhopal, the district administration has given instructions to keep the schools closed on Saturday in view of the possibility of heavy rain.
