You can get a duplicate RC online or offline, and we will explain both processes in detail. Before that, gather some important documents:
- Copy of FIR report to provide proof of loss
- Form 26 (available from RTO)
- Copy of the lost RC (if available)
- Valid insurance certificate
- Tax Clearance for Commercial Vehicles
- identity card
- Proof of current address
- PUC Certificate
- Pencil marking of engine and chassis number
How to apply for duplicate RC online:
- Go to the official Parivahan Sewa website.
- Now click on ‘online services and then on ‘vehicle-related services’ select the option to apply for a Duplicate RC online.
- Now fill out the application form for duplicate RC and verify the auto-generated owner details.
- Pay the service fee online. Depending on if it is a 2-wheeler, 4-wheeler, LCV, HCV, etc, the fee differs.
- Then a receipt is generated, which must be submitted together with other documents at the office of the governing transport authority.
How to get duplicate RC offline
