Heavy Rain Alert: Due to the activation of monsoon in Rajasthan, heavy rains are occurring in many areas, which has affected the lives of common people. The Meteorological Department has also warned of heavy to very heavy rains in many districts and extremely heavy rains at some places on Tuesday. People have been advised to remain alert.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in some areas of Kota, Ajmer and Jodhpur divisions on July 15. Moderate to heavy rains will continue in Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions as well. Heavy rains are again expected in Jodhpur, Bikaner and Ajmer divisions on July 16 and very heavy rains at some places. There is a possibility of a decrease in the intensity of rain in eastern Rajasthan from July 17 and in western Rajasthan from July 18.
Heavy to very heavy rain occurred here
According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, many parts of Rajasthan received light to moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, while heavy to very heavy rains occurred at some places. The highest rainfall of 183 mm was recorded in Bijolia of Bhilwara. Apart from this, 174 mm rain was recorded in Bhainsrodgarh (Chittorgarh), 136 mm in Makrana (Nagaur), 127 mm in Niwai (Tonk), 117 mm in Mandana (Kota) and 102 mm in Sambhar (Jaipur).
Normal life affected by rain
The continuous heavy rains have affected the lives of common people. Low lying areas of many cities and towns are flooded. There has been loss of life and property at some places in rain-related incidents. Due to waterlogging, the Sabarmati-Jodhpur Express had to be cancelled on Tuesday on the Pali Marwar-Bomadara railway section.
