DMRC New Service: Metro card can be recharged through DMRC’s official WhatsApp number

Actually, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started a new facility for the passengers traveling by metro. Metro card can be recharged only through the official WhatsApp number of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). For this, passengers will just need to send hi on their phone to the WhatsApp number of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Process to recharge metro card through WhatsApp

  • First of all, you have to save the official number of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) 9650855800 on WhatsApp.
  • Now you will have to search this number on WhatsApp and come to the chat page of DMRC.
  • You have to type Hi here and send it.
  • Now you have to choose one language between Hindi or English.
  • Now from Buy Ticket, Smart Card TopUP, Retrieve Ticket, Smart Card TopUP has to be selected.
  • Now you have to click on the given link.
  • Now you have to enter the card details and select the amount and payment method.
  • There will be no charges of any kind on UPI payments.
  • As soon as the payment is completed, you will see the smart card recharge status as successful on WhatsApp.

How much discount will you get

The good thing is that if you recharge your smart card through Whatsapp, you will also get a discount. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is offering a 5 percent discount on smart card recharge. The minimum recharge for this is Rs 100. That means you can get a discount of Rs 5 on a recharge of Rs 100. However, the maximum discount will be Rs 10 only. If you recharge Rs 500, then you can get a discount of Rs 10 by paying Rs 490.
