There is good news for the government employees of Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state has increased the DA of government employees. The Yogi government has increased the DA of the state government employees by two percent. According to a report by news agency ANI, the Yogi government has increased the dearness allowance for state government employees by 2 percent from January 1, 2025. After this decision, the DA which was 53 percent till now will now increase to 55 percent.
16 lakh employees will benefit
This decision of the Yogi government of UP will benefit 16 lakh employees of the state. The employees of the state government are very happy with this decision. Earlier, the Rajasthan government had also increased the dearness allowance. The state government had given a big relief to 12.5 lakh employees and pensioners of the state by announcing a 2 percent increase in dearness allowance and relief. After this announcement, government employees will get 55 percent dearness allowance instead of 53 percent.
What is DA?
Dearness Allowance is given by the Central and State Governments to their employees to reduce the burden of rising inflation. This is an additional allowance given to government employees and pensioners in addition to their basic salary. The Central and State Governments revise it for their employees from time to time.
